GAS Facilities Enhancement Project A

ICS updated existing Gas Asset (Mains, Services and Valves) data in client’s asset management system (SAP), linking the SAP Functional Location (FLOC) and Equipment ID to the Gas GIS mapping model.

Objective

This project was designed to provide the proper tax base of assets and accurate SAP equipment records for Fixed Asset, Engineering and Operation department needs.

Results

Verified, updated and created GIS and SAP records by analyzing field data including
As-Builts and service orders. Project completed on schedule with 98% accuracy.
Analyzed over 1,715 raster image (paper) maps.
Updated and created 73,881 SAP records.
Populated GIS data set with corresponding SAP FLOC and Equipment ID.
Delivered service and main information to enable accuracy in designs, maintenance inspections and reporting to governing agencies.
